How OFW Parents Can Use Teleconsult
The caregiver in the Philippines starts the teleconsult with the child. You (the OFW parent) join the video call from abroad. The Filipino doctor sees both the child and hears from both the caregiver and the parent. This is the most effective way to get a professional second opinion remotely.

How to Use Teleconsult as an OFW Parent
Choose a platform and create an account
Register on KonsultaMD, HealthNow, or any platform above. Most allow registration with just an email and phone number.
Brief the caregiver before the consult
Tell the yaya or lola to have the child ready, have the thermometer reading, and list all symptoms. The caregiver should be in a quiet place with good internet.
Join the video call from abroad
The caregiver starts the consult. You join via the same link from abroad. The doctor will see both of you. Speak clearly and describe symptoms in detail.
Get the e-prescription and follow up
The doctor sends an e-prescription to the registered email. The caregiver can show this at any Mercury Drug or Generika to get the medicine.
Important Note
Teleconsult is for non-emergency situations. If your child has difficulty breathing, seizures, or is unresponsive — go to the ER immediately. Do not wait for a teleconsult. KidSafe PH does not endorse any specific platform — always verify that the doctor is PRC-licensed.
